In coordination with salesAI.com, our CEO and founder Vince Mollinnari sat down with Devin Johnson to hear how his company is simplifying and scaling AI for business.
Take a look.
Hi, I'm Vince Molinari, and welcome back to FinTech TV.
We're broadcasting as always from the iconic New York Stock Exchange, and I'd like to welcome Devin Johnson, who is the CEO of SalesAI.com.
Devin is a nationally recognized entrepreneur and CEO.
He's a 4-time Inc 500 founder with two exits.
He's now shaping enterprise sales through AI-powered automation, real-time engagement, and next generation Sass at sales AI.com.
Bevin, welcome to the show.
Welcome to the New York Stock Exchange.
Here we are.
You know, I've always looked outside the building, and here we are on the floor talking about the next big wave, which is AI, and I'm excited.
Well, I'm excited.
You are such a domain expert not only across AI, but your history of an entrepreneur exits and really that's the pinnacle of the New York Stock Exchange is all of us as entrepreneurs aim to ring that bell, go public in that journey.
So to have you sitting here today as the entrepreneur who walks the Walk and talks the talk.
I absolutely love it.
And on top of it we get to talk about AI.
That's right.
That's right.
So maybe kick us off a little bit.
Tell us, you know, frame it up sales AI.com says a lot in the name, but give me the mission statement.
Yeah, so sales AI, we aim to make AI extremely easy, simple, and effective for businesses, and we do that through primarily our voice product right now.
So we deploy AI agents to qualify leads as soon as they come into your ads, your funnels, your website.
Agents actually call that lead, qualify that lead, book it without a human having to do it, and we also support customer support.
So a lot of our customers use our product for tier one customer support, as we know, people call in for very time consuming questions when.
AI can definitely handle that and so give them a much better customer experience.
So those are the two things we focus on.
We're in the AI voice space.
We also do texting and soon to be released email, um, all in one platform.
It's incredible.
So when I think about.
You know, as all of us to a degree as marketeers and our outbound in that conversion funnel, whatever that conversion funnel will ultimately want to see that efficiency that's created when you can have an agent, when we talk about an agent just to frame it, you know, an artificial intelligent agent.
A being efficient and working that system and that conversion is much not like anything else we've ever dares to be bought.
Yeah, I mean time kills deals, right?
We all know that and who wants to call and wait for a business to.
Up the phone to answer basic questions, right?
So those are the two things when we, you know, set the vision for the company we really wanted to address was speed and efficiency so businesses can grow quicker in the new age of AI.
So speed is everything in this new era that we're growing businesses in.
And so, you know, the average speed to lead is somewhere below an hour for a business if you're extremely on it. our AI agents answer the phone within 10 to 15 seconds and be able to deliver a human to human flight conversation.
So I want to touch on a couple of things, and it becomes this hot button, right, of, you know, the hype versus reality.
AI.
What's, what's the actual kind of use case what's happening versus, hey, the scare tactic or fear mongering?
Where does that play into the system?
Yeah, I'm going to start with just A truth bomb.
So if you are currently running a business and you're not performing well with humans doing these tasks, meaning handling customer support, handling business lead qualification, you know, your overall sales funnel or back end customer support funnel, AI is not going to be a lot of help.
You've got to have a very strong business that has good CRM, good data, good processes, then AI, and that's the rule of thumb across the board, right?
We're not talking about going to Chat GBT and making an email copy, right?
That is like step one of your AI journey.
We're talking about AI in the business working alongside you as almost like a coworker.
Right, you have to have a structured back end system with your CRM, your data, and your processes.
Then AI is extremely efficient, you know, we just, I just gave a presentation on San Francisco alongside my team of sales AI about this very topic.
You know, we've released our application partnership with HubSpot for our AI agents to be inside of the marketing hub.
And we talked 30 minutes about how important data and processes are in order for AI to be successful within a business.
We spoke off camera a little bit, and I want to see if you can just give us a little bit more of a snippet of education.
So we're talking about the nation.
Wide survey that went out and talking about the readiness of companies to engage and adopt AI.
Can you speak to that survey a little bit?
Yeah, so there was a national survey done by HubSpot, you know, they service 300,000 businesses at this point, and this was a highly engaged survey, so pretty large data pool, and it came back that less than 10% of businesses are actually AI ready and so.
Like one of the things we do as sales AI is we'll give a business a free link, no opt in, no nothing, to see how ready they are to adopt AI and what stage.
So you can get that at salesAI.com readiness report, um, and you know those are the type of businesses we want to talk to that score highly on, on that report, you know, again, if you have a poor CRM, poor systems, poor process, we're not a magic butt.
Right, so that's a, that's a great notion when you talk about the magic button and it not being the magic button.
I gather when we look at this and say, well, 10% may be ready at the marketplace, you have a pretty fertile market to go after and it does seem to be early though.
We're not even in early adoption.
We're we're in that, you know, the like early, early adopters, the phase before early adoption, you know, it is in every boardroom right now.
It is on every budget.
It is, I've never seen more.
AI expert job listings in my life like it's absolutely crazy, but you know it takes, it takes a moment for these big businesses that are in legacy systems again to be ready and you know we we have a ton of data and market feedback from that HubSpot conference we just came back from, but we one of the small things that we were doing there was We, my team met with like Fortune 100 to Fortune 500 size businesses.
Number one topic was their data was a was a mess for 20 years using three different CRMs and so on and so forth.
And so, you know, my, my team.
Ended up being like in a hot seat when this was supposed to be a roundtable.
So imagine like 4 tables and my team's basically in a hot seat getting hammered by these executives from Fortune 100 to Fortune 500 businesses about structuring data, so on and so forth.
So you know, it's, it's a great marketplace to be in if you're, if you're aggressive, um, but you also got to be patient and you got to tell the truth.
I love it, telling the truth.
Devin Johnson, CEO of Sales AI.com.
I love the name.
We get the URL in there all the time.
Devin, thank you so much for joining us.
What a pleasure to have you here.
I appreciate it.
