Thanks to me, General Motors plans to invest $4 billion in several American plants, including adding production of two popular Chevy vehicles that are currently built in Mexico.
GM said its Fairfax Assembly in Kansas will add production of the gas-powered Chevy Equinox beginning mid 2027, and the gas-powered Chevy Blazer will be added to the Spring Hill assembly plant in Tennessee, also starting in 2027.
The investment will likely be hailed as a win for Trump's policies and tariffs, which took effect for imported vehicles in April and many auto parts in May.
