FINTECH.TV Partners with CUD to Launch Fintech Education Hub

FINTECH.TV announced a new partnership with Canadian University Dubai (CUD) that aims to reshape how education and financial news intersect across the Middle East. The collaboration was officially launched during an event at the New York Stock Exchange, marking a milestone for fintech, blockchain, and digital asset education tied directly to global financial markets.

During the signing ceremony, FINTECH.TV’s Remy Blaire spoke with Prof. Karim Chelli, president and vice-chancellor of CUD, about the scope and vision behind the partnership. A central goal of the collaboration is strengthening Dubai’s position as a hub for financial innovation and higher education. As part of the agreement, CUD will host a FINTECH.TV studio on its campus, giving students direct access to global financial news coverage and blockchain-focused programming connected to one of the world’s most influential financial institutions.

Prof. Chelli described the New York Stock Exchange as the “mecca of finance,” noting the historical significance of launching the partnership in that setting. He framed the collaboration as more than a business arrangement, calling it a convergence of finance, fintech, and education rooted in Dubai’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem.

CUD distinguishes itself in the region as the first Canadian university established outside Canada. The institution holds full accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and maintains partnerships with 30 Canadian universities. With students representing more than 147 nationalities, CUD brings a Canadian academic perspective to the Middle East, positioning itself as a forward-looking institution in global education.

A core element of the partnership is the creation of a FINTECH.TV studio on campus. Prof. Chelli emphasized that this reflects CUD’s long-standing problem-solving approach to education, one the university has followed for more than 20 years. By embedding real-world experiences into academic programs, students will learn directly from industry experts and gain exposure to emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI.

The collaboration is designed to prepare students not only for employment, but also for entrepreneurship. With access to professional production facilities and real-time financial news, students will be able to apply classroom learning across disciplines including finance, marketing, and advertising. This hands-on environment is intended to equip graduates with the skills needed to compete in the evolving digital asset and fintech economy.

The partnership also aligns with broader Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and responsible participation in global financial systems. By combining education, fintech, and sustainability, CUD and FINTECH.TV aim to help develop socially conscious entrepreneurs who can address real-world challenges through technology and finance.

As Dubai continues to grow as a center for fintech and blockchain development, the collaboration offers a platform for knowledge sharing and skill building. The city already hosts a growing number of fintech startups and initiatives focused on sustainable investing and artificial intelligence, alongside a rapidly expanding crypto sector. With the new FINTECH.TV studio, CUD students will gain early exposure to these industries and the mindset needed to succeed in them.

The partnership between FINTECH.TV and Canadian University Dubai represents a shift toward experiential education that bridges academia and industry. By integrating live financial media, technology, and applied learning into the classroom, the collaboration sets the foundation for a new generation of leaders shaping the future of finance, blockchain, and sustainable economic growth across the region and beyond.
