A list of amendments has circulated that would make potential changes to the crypto market structure legislation that's planned for consideration in a Senate Banking Committee hearing this week.
The amendments would tackle more than 100 items including stable coin yield, government corruption, and software developer protections.
The Senate Banking Committee is holding a Thursday markup hearing where lawmakers will debate the amendments, vote on whether to adopt any of them.
And ultimately vote on whether to advance the underlying bill.
Well, asset management giant BlackRock deposited almost 3300 Bitcoin worth about $303 million and about $5700 Ethereum valued at about $18 million into Coinbase Prime.
That's according to Arkham Intelligence data.
BlackRock manages investment products including Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which have seen outflows predominantly.
Amid mixed market sentiments in recent weeks, well, Ethereum may be poised to end years of lagging performance and finally outrun Bitcoin this year, driven by a regulatory overhaul and a confluence of key on-chain and market metrics.
Ethereum's bull run since 2023 has yielded 160%, less than half of Bitcoin's 457% return, according to Coin Gecko.
The difference in gains.
