Climate Change Impact: Lost Glacier of Iceland
In partnership with the Climate Group and FINTECH.TV, The Nest Summit is an official event of Climate Week NYC, dedicated to advancing sustainability in the US by convening the organizations, visionary researchers, and influential policymakers driving climate action and leading the way to a cleaner and safer environment.
Live from Javits Center in The Nest Summit at Climate Week NYC, today we discuss the implications of climate change with Oddur Sigurðsson who is the geologist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office. Oddur founded a beautiful glacier and studied how it has been diminishing, now not even classified as a glacier and dead ice in 2014. Known to most school kids in Iceland, this particular glacier disappearing was shocking for many who grew up there. The carbon dioxide issue is the main issue that causes global warming in the atmosphere. Simple as Oddur puts it.
