Dan Held currently works as the Growth Lead for Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, the first cryptocurrency firm in the U.S., to become a bank. "By becoming a bank, we get direct access to federal payments infrastructure, and we can more seamlessly integrate banking and funding options for customers," said David Kinitsky, a managing director at Kraken and the CEO of the newly formed Kraken Financial.  Dan was one of the earliest supporters of this wild new concept of cryptocurrency. He was one of only 12 people who showed up at the first Bitcoin meetup. During the 2013 Bitcoin bubble, where Bitcoin's value skyrocketed from $100 to $1,200, there was Dan decided to develop a real-time market price tracking application designed specifically for Bitcoin called ZeroBlock.  Today, Dan Held works as the head of growth for digital exchange at Kraken.
