Now let's check in on the latest headlines from Europe and the Middle East with Polly Jean Harrison, features editor of the Fintech Times.
Hi, Polly, happy Friday and thank you so much for joining us.
So I understand that more companies will be able to hire, train, and upskill people with disabilities thanks to a partnership between ecompay and disability inclusion advocate Christa Stevenson.
So tell us more about this partnership.
Good morning, Rey.
Happy Friday.
So yeah, ecompay is gonna be delivering free weekly cohort sessions, uh.
For the disability confidence scheme, so the Disability Confidence scheme aims to encourage employers to recruit, retrain, and develop disabled people and those with long-term health conditions to help them get jobs and enter the workforce.
So Cre Cressida Stevenson specializes in neurodivergent and disabled talent attraction, retention, and development.
And during these sessions run a partnership with Project Nemo, she will help merchants learn about the scheme and how that they can get started on the tiers 1 to 3, which employs.
To be inclusive.
So obviously this is hugely exciting and great to see EO pay, you know, really getting into a scheme like this, and sessions are really going to be helping businesses to build a truly inclusive culture, highlighting that disability inclusion isn't just, you know, the right thing to do.
It's something that is actually a strategic advantage in order to be able to attract that top talent and futureproof organizations.
So attendees are also going to be learning how inclusive internal practices leads to more accessible customer friendly products.
As well as gain practical guidance on aligning recruitment with ethical and regulatory standards.
So you know, there's still a huge disability employment gap here in the UK, and I think that's fair to say across the globe as well, and that really needs to change, and that is something that this partnership is hoping to do.
Many disabled people who remain unemployed are able and willing to work but struggle to find employees willing to give them a chance.
So having this partnership where employers will be helped to understand adjustments that they need in order to make disabled applicants.
To have a good chance to apply an interview for suitable roles is a really important first step.
So you know, removing these barriers for disabled people in the workplace is so important and it's really exciting to see this partnership from ecompay.
And you know, having disabled people in the workplace provides businesses with access to a wide talent pool and promotes real inclusion that goes beyond hiring, ensuring that everyone is supported, empowered, and empowered at work.
So again, just a really great story today and one that I hope a lot of companies will follow suit on.
And Polly, I do want to ask you about AI assistance.
So I know all of us have opinions regarding the role of artificial intelligence and Robin Hood UK introducing an AI powered investing assistant for its customers in the UK.
So tell us about this new offering and how does the launch actually support investors?
Absolutely.
So this new offering from Robin Hood UK is dubbed Digest, and it has become the first feature powered by Robin Hood Vortex, the company's AI powered system.
So Robin Hood has explained that it uses generative AI to review breaking news, analyst reports, technicals, and Robin Hood's proprietary data to summarize why a particular stock might be moving in plain English.
So the launch aims to leverage the power of AI to help its UK customers understand what is driving the latest stock movements.
AI powered summaries will look to decode the factors impacting stock price movements in a move to really help investors make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.
These digests were first announced earlier this year and have been rolling out to customers over there in the US.
Earlier this summer, and it's already been tested by hundreds of thousands of.
Robin Hood customers.
So this is something that's really supposed to be suitable for all experience levels to really help support investor confidence, whether you are a beginner investor or someone who's had a little bit more experience.
So you know, I think it's all about trying to help people understand what they're doing with investing, get into their stocks, and just, I think, you know, everyone can appreciate some accessible summaries that highlight what may be moving in a stock and And you know, really having those AI tools there are going to be really helpful, and this is something that I think Robin Hood are really keen to prioritize moving forward, and they could be introducing more AI tools that help with customer education and help investors navigate the market with confidence.
So again, really exciting and something that's really interesting to see in the UK and it'll be great to see how this affects sort of the investors and the uptake of investing in the UK too.
OK, Polly, we will have to leave it there but thank you so much for joining us on this Friday morning and have a great weekend.
Thanks, Remy.
See you next time.
